A Word From the Pastor

I became part of Broadmead Baptist Church nearly 19 years ago and have seen it go through many positive changes over those years. I believe it is a welcoming and accepting place, where we can be real with each other. It has been a privilege to serve as full-time Pastor since August 2010.

Nearly 80 years ago, Broadmead was built with a heart to reach the local community with the message and love of Christ. This remains true today and we desire to be a source of new life and a place of welcome to all. The church today seeks to build on this foundation of mission being an energising presence in the local community.  We are also looking to develop our buildings so that they are better suited to serve both church and community.  We seek to serve Christ both at home and abroad in a wide variety of roles.  Currently we have members serving on three continents, living as disciples of Jesus in very different and challenging environments.

We have reached an exciting chapter in the life of the church.  We are convinced that we need to help each other develop our walk with God so that we can Love God, Love People and Love His World.  Equally, we desire to continue to contribute to the spiritual and social well-being of our community through the services and ministries we offer.

We invite you to consider joining with us for this exciting journey.
