We, as a Church, believe that people grow best in groups and that it is a biblical expression of community as modelled by Jesus.
Mark 3:14 “He settled on twelve, and designated them apostles. The plan was that they would be with him, and he would send them out to proclaim the Word.”
If you are not part of a small group we would be very keen that you consider joining one. To help you with that we have described the different types of groups we have running. Can we encourage you to consider which one interests you and then fill in the reply slip attached and return it to the church office.
Each group operates slightly differently; the common aspects are the values that each group adopts. There are three key ingredients to any small group. The first is to have a strong bible study element which aims to encourage members to understand deeper biblical truths empowering them for the whole of their lives. The second key area is that deep relationships are just as valued as studying the word. Real, intimate relationships are the goal and a community that is totally committed to each other showing compassion and love to each other to build each other up. The final key element is multiplication. As a church we are seeking to grow and we believe that small groups play a key role in developing this. Multiplication is the goal that is prayed for, worked towards and expected. We have a number of groups that meet throughout the week during the day and evening. Some are mixed gender and some single.
If you attending the church and wish to join a small group then please do contact the church office for a small group reply slip.
