Broadmead Money Advice Centre

The Broadmead Money Advice Centre (BMAC) opened in January 2007 and is open on a Tuesday from 1pm till 5pm then 6.30pm till 9.30pm by appointment only.
The centre is run by Sandra Richardson, Senior Advisor with a small team of volunteers who have all been trained to Generalist Debt Advisor level.

Broadmead Money Advice Centre is open to anyone in Northampton but mainly serves people in the local areas of Eastfield, Abington, Kingsley, Spinney Hill and Lakeview as these areas are within easy reach of the centre.

Broadmead Money Advice Centre offers:

  • Free confidential advice relating to debt management
  • Assistance in budgeting.
  • Liaison with creditors on clients behalf.
  • Will assist with the completion of forms e.g. Housing Benefit, Council Tax Benefit and Pension Credit applications which some people struggle to complete.
  • Training Courses on Money Management and Budgeting Skills.

Funding currently comes from Broadmead Baptist Church and various gifts from people who support our service. We have also received funding to enable us to carry out an outreach at the Nene Valley Christian Family Refuge one afternoon a week.
